In 2007 three cases are filed against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and Hollywood actor Richard Gere for publicly kissing in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in India.

On Monday a High court bench shifted the cases to the supreme court of a Mumbai after Shilpa's lawyer Anand requested for the transfer of cases.

He said Shilpa’s busy work schedule as a main reason for transferring the cases from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai.
