Lawyers are observing black day today (Thursday) to mark emergency rule imposed in the country on November 3, 2007 by the ex-president Pervez MusharafISLMABAD: Lawyers are observing black day today (Thursday) to mark emergency rule imposed in the country on November 3, 2007 by the ex-president Pervez Musharaf and detention of Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry along with his family.

The lawyers remained out of the courts across the country to register their protest against Pervaiz Musharaf's unconstitutional acts of November 3, 2007.

Black flags are being displayed at bar counsels and bar associations while the lawyers are sporting black bands on their arms.
